It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Christopher Derrick Merchant Sr. of Indian Trail, North Carolina, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on February 4, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Brack Carroll Merchant; and his brothers, Mark Merchant and Kevin Merchant. He is survived by: his children, Ora N. Graham-Merchant (Emily Graham), Lydia M. Merchant and Christopher D. Merchant II; his grandchildren, Zion Sides and Zoe Hillman; his siblings, Vicki Merchant Miller (Leon), Trina F. Merchant, Bradd L. Merchant and Timothy J. Merchant (Cynthia); and his aunt Voudeline Joyce. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as other relatives and many friends.
