It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvin Townsend of Icard, North Carolina, who passed away on July 13, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Ezekiel and Manike Childers Townsend; and his siblings, Ralph Junior Townsend, Florence Berry, Mabel Bolick, Pauline Mask, Ethel Robinson, Betty Carver, Bill Townsend and Frank Townsend.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Zachary Townsend, Aaron Townsend (Ashten), Rebekah Amador (Abraham), Lydia Powell (Alex) and Hannah Beaver (Joseph); and his great grandchildren, Lily Townsend, Audrey Townsend, Addilynn Townsend, Elizabeth Amador, Tirzah Amador, Isaiah Amador, Lucy Powell, Nathanel Powell, William Powell, Savannah Beaver, Julianna Beaver and Roseanna Beaver. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
