She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Knott and Annie Royster Knott; her husband Marvin Whitfield; and her siblings, Mac, Cecil, Robert, Don, Sterling, Charlie, Bruce Knott and Elizabeth Knott Murray.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Schlesinger (Larry) of Bahama, NC and Janet Pilchard (Gary) of Pocomoke, MD; her siblings, Mary Gentry, Sandra Eakes and Bart Knott; her siblings-in-law, Jackie Knott, Jerry Whitfield (Kay) and Richard Whitfield (Alice); and her grandchildren, Daniel Pilchard, Tim Schlesinger, Mike Schlesinger, Maddie Pilchard and Anna Schlesinger.
