He is survived by: his wife Peggy Young Porterfield; his children, Elaine Marie Owen (Mike) of Timberlake, Penny Taylor of Roxboro, Randall Porterfield of Roxboro and Jeff Porterfield of Roxboro; his siblings, Tony Porterfield of Timberlake, Virginia Carol Davis of Roxboro, Diane Cole (Pete) of Roxboro, Peggy Long of Hurdle Mills, Wanda McCullough (David) of Hurdle Mills and Becky Landrum (Wayne) of Hurdle Mills; his grandchildren, Brad Porterfield (Allison), Andy Porterfield (Debra), Todd Taylor (Jennifer) and Kelly Owen (Paul); and his great grandchildren, Abby, Farrah, Vanna, Madeline, Makayla Porterfield, Cash and Camdyn Taylor. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
