It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Allen Lea (Hurdle Mills, North Carolina), who passed away on May 17, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira G. Allen and Joey Broach Allen; and her husband Herbert M. Lea, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Joanna Lea (Kaye) of Hurdle Mills, Susan Lea Hester (Donald) of Hurdle Mills and Herbert "Bert" M. Lea, Jr. (Janet) of Hurdle Mills; her sister Rachel Martin of Hurdle Mills; her grandchildren, Anna Hester Martin (Sam), Meredith Lea Harris (John Price), Leah Hester Clayton (Brandon) and Maddie Lea; and her great grandchildren, Lucas, Anniston, Caroline Clayton, Ellie Harris and Leah Stedman Martin.
