She was predeceased by: her parents, Lottie Rountree Hawkins and William Walter Hawkins; her husband Malcolm W. Cole; and her siblings, Willard Hawkins, Frank Hawkins, Alvin Hawkins, Sarah H. Norris, Edith H. Davis, Lottie H. Lynch and Nannie H. Webster Odom.
She is survived by: her daughter Donna Gurtner (Earl) of Leasburg; her siblings, Marie H. Lucas, Peggy H. Terry (Nick), Kenneth Hawkins (Carolyn), Wade Hawkins (Shelby), Warren Hawkins (Mary Lee) and Fred Hawkins; and her grandchildren, Heather C. Hartsoe (Matt), Charlene P. Starr (Steve), Mac Cole (Linsey) and Charles C. Parker (Donna). She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
