With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Harrison Newman of Hurdle Mills, North Carolina, who passed away on August 23, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her children, Emanuel Brooks and Jacqueline Y. Jones; her parents, Emanuel Harrison and Hattie Harrison; and her siblings, Emanuel J. Harrison and Clara H. Parker.
She is survived by: her children, Mildred Brooks Poole of Semora, NC, Linwood T. Brooks (Linda) of Roxboro, NC and Chanigo Brooks; her siblings, John R. Harrison of Semora, Pattie Harrison of Semora and Dossie M. Harrison of Roxboro; and her children-in-law, Rev. Kenneth A. Jones of Allensville, NC and Francis Brooks of Timberlake, NC. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
