Lena Oakley Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lena Oakley (Hurdle Mills, North Carolina), who passed away on October 22, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lex Herbert Briggs, Sr. and Lera Powell Briggs of Hurdle Mills, NC.; and her siblings, L. H. Briggs, Jr., Mike Briggs, Doris Slaughter, Nell Blaylock, Hazel Day and Ruth Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Mitch Oakley (Sharon), Kim Vaughan (Dan) and Robyn Grinstead (Ronnie); her grandchildren, Dustin Vaughan (Lauren) and Katelynn Crowder (Travis); her great grandchildren, Lena-Rose Crowder, Violet and Annie Vaughan; her sister Valinda "Mittie" Riley; and her brother-in-law L. D. Slaughter. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
