He is survived by: his wife Faye Reese Clayton; his children, Douglas Martin Clayton of Roxboro and Dana Lynn Clayton of Hurdle Mills; his siblings, Gary Clayton of Roxboro, Alease Davis of Roxboro, Daphne Ellixson of Virgilina, VA and Deborah Smith of Roxboro; and his grandchildren, Caitlin Lynn Whitt and Zachary Wayne Whitt.
