She was predeceased by: her parents, Algie Lemuel and Allie Ray Wade Blalock. She is survived by: her husband Howard Whitfield; her daughters, Cheryl W. Moreland (Cal) and Amy Whitfield; her sister Nettie Brogden (Bill); and her grandchildren, Callie Moreland and Caroline Moreland.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Clement Baptist Church (8480 Burlington Rd, Hurdle Mills, NC 27541). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
