It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Daniel Hawkins of Hurdle Mills, North Carolina, who passed away on May 15, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his daughters, Luanne Hawkins Ellis (Roy Keith Ellis) of Naples, FL and Dena Marie Kennedy (Michael Patrick Kennedy) of Alpharetta, GA; his grandchildren, Dustin Daniel Ellis, Navy and Sarah Ann Kennedy of Brooklyn, NY; and his brother Coy "Jiggs" Hawkins (Dee) of Hurdle Mills. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
