It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Love Whitfield of Hurdle Mills, North Carolina, who passed away on December 14, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Lee Whitfield and Rose Lee Horton Whitfield; and his sisters, Margaret W. Hutchens, Doris W. Breeze, Rose W. Blackard, Norma W. Whitfield and Joanne W. Rimmer.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hill Harris Whitfield; his children, Donald Whitfield of Huntington Beach, CA and Joy W. Griffith (Dave) of Hurdle Mills; his stepson Stacey Harris (Karen) of Rougemont; and his grandsons, Adam Griffith and Evan Griffith.
