He was predeceased by: his son Jeffrey; and his brother Stanley. He is survived by: his wife Montyne; his daughters, Rebecca Coggins (Kevin), Stacey Hart (Jon) and Elizabeth Winokur (James); his daughter-in-law Jennifer Daffer; and his sister Ronna Nitzsky. He is also survived by grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region or First Presbyterian Church of Mooresville.
