She was predeceased by: her parents, Persy Gill and Sally Gill; and her son Michael Calhoun. She is survived by: her daughter Denise Calhoun (Judgette Calhoun); and her grandchildren, Tiara Parker of Charlotte, NC, Shannel of Germany, Michelle of Berlin, Michael Jr., Alexander and Jackie of Macedonia. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the First Baptist Church West (1801 Oaklawn Ave, Charlotte, NC 28216). A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church West Scholarship Fund.
