It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Westmoreland of Huntersville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 19, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford McCorkle and Edith McCorkle; her husband Thomas "Mutt" Westmoreland; and her siblings, Evelyn Overcash, Kay Beaver and Bill McCorkle.

She is survived by: her sons, Mack Westmoreland (Marla) of Huntersville, Wayne Westmoreland (Mary Ellen) of Huntersville and Keith Westmoreland (Robin) of Huntersville; and her brothers, Harold McCorkle, Jerry McCorkle and Sam McCorkle. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
