With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Parks Houston Sr. of Huntersville, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on January 2, 2021 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Frank Houston and Addie Parks Houston; and his siblings, Marshall, Neal and Nancy Honeycutt.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Kidd Houston; his children, Robert Houston, Jr. (Patsy) of Huntersville, NC, David of Huntersville, Judy Jamieson (Mac) of Harpersville, AL and Janet Booker (Donald) of Colbert, GA.; his niece Donna Hollar (Bill) of Charlotte; and his grandchildren, Jessica Grice (Jason), Elizabeth Bunton (Jacob), Evan Jamieson, Beatty Jamieson (Lynell), Rebecca Hybl (Ryan) and Josh Booker (Kayla). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made in Robert's memory to Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Huntersville, NC.
