We bid farewell to Laura Shinn of Huntersville, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 23, 2025 at the age of 77. Laura touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Laura leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Laura may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger Pietsch and Clara Pietsch. She is survived by: her children, Cara Shinn Lursen (Stephen Lursen) and Adam Peter Shinn (Karen Shinn); her grandchildren, Leiana Claire Lursen, Luke Elliot Lursen and Emerson Laura Shinn; and her brother Terry Wayne Pietsch (Linda Pietsch).
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the The-Lake Episcopal Church (1050 NC-16 Business, Denver, NC 28037).
In honor of Laura's love for animals, the family invites those who wish to make a memorial contribution to consider donating to a local animal rescue in her name.
