He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette Grayson and Alma Ethel Hastings McNeilly; and his siblings, Ray McNeilly, Harold McNeilly and Carolyn Beaver.
He is survived by: his wife Nellie Jones McNeilly; his sons, Jim McNeilly Jr. (Tina) of Kings Mountain and Jason McNeilly (Kylie) of Shelby; his grandchildren, Brittany Austin (C. J.), Kaitlyn McNeilly, Jay McNeilly and Ameilia McNeilly; his great grandchildren, Leighton Austin and Landry Austin; his siblings, Jack McNeilly (Jo) of Shelby, Charles McNeilly (Sandra) of Belwood, Mary Smith of Shelby, Betty Ledford of Sparta and Christine McNeilly of Atlanta Ga; his siblings-in-law, Lura McNeilly of Shelby and Lee Beaver of Valdeese; and his stepchildren, J. L., April Williams, Addy, Anyzlee, Brenda, David Green, Judy, Larry Smith, Alice and Gene Willis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.
