He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Anthony and Beatrice Young Buttine. He is survived by: his wife Deirdre Ann Wright Buttine; his son Sam Buttine (Catherine); his grandchildren, Dean and Charlotte; and his brother Christopher Buttine.
