She is survived by: her former husband John C. Kiger; her children, Karen Kiger Vinton (Roger) of Willow Spring, NC, Kelly J. Kiger (Christina) of Concord and Katherine J. Kiger (Amy) of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Dustin, Matthew (Tasija), Brandon (Kimberley), Chelsea Vinton of Raleigh, Kelly Frances Kiger of Cary and Madeline Kiger of Charlotte; her great grandchild Aspen Kiger of Cary; her stepchildren, Alice Kunka of Greensboro and Roger Kirkman (Connie) of Winston-Salem; and her siblings, Jack Dowell of Winston-Salem and Virginia Dowell Sizemore of Jonesville. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
