She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest C. Butler and Lillian Hamrick Butler; her husband Roy T. Gantt; the father of her children William E. Cooke; her siblings, Ernest C. Butler, Jr., Dwight L Butler, Ronald H. Butler, Donald R. Butler and Lillian Irene Butler Purdy; her granddaughter Lisa Crisp; and her daughter-in-law Barbara Benzie Cooke.
She is survived by: her children, Billie Jean Cooke Crisp, Bobbie Cooke Little (Thomas D. Duggins), Dianne Cooke Norton and Larry Lee Cooke; her grandchildren, Lynde Little Howard, Stephanie Cooke Neeley (Hayes Yanney), Larry Lee Cooke, II (Amie) and Allen Thomas Cooke (Stephanie); and her great grandchildren, Jayson Gantt Howard, Anna Howard, Christian Neeley, Maddy Neeley, Matt Cooke, Hannah Cooke, Brooke Cooke, Noah Cooke, Eden Cooke and Vivian Cooke. She is also survived by children, especially her grand and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home (16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
