He was predeceased by: his parents, Paula B. Timberlake and Donald W. Greggs (Gail) of High Point, NC; his stepfather Frank Timberlake; and his grandparents, Carrie Bennett Titus, Henry Bennett, Irine Greggs and Joe Greggs.
He is survived by: his wife Erica B. Bennett; his children, McKinsey Shepherd Bennett of Mt. Holly, NC, Britni E. Bennett of Charlotte, NC, Donald R. Bennett II of Spring Lake, NC, Joshua D. Bennett of Cameron, NC and Keith O. Williams of Portsmouth, VA; his siblings, Shawn D. Bennett (Deanna) of High Point, NC, David V. Walker of Norfolk, VA, Darrell Cheek (Shawanna) of High Point, NC, Joseph Cheek (LeighAnn) of Tampa, FL, Sherman Greggs (Latasha) of High Point, NC and Latoya D. Walker of Norfolk, VA.; and his pets, Nene, Toby, Romeo, Keiko, Max and Maddi. He is also survived by five grandchildren; nephews, niece, aunt, uncles, and a host of beloved cousins, other relatives and close friends.
