He is survived by: his siblings, Donald Logan Cates (Karen) of Charlotte, NC and Lisa Cates Puckett (Carroll) of Midland, NC; his nieces, Theresa Cates Henderson (Joel), Natalie Cates (Aaron Stamey) and Lara Cates Cooley (BJ); his nephew Logan Puckett (Daniela); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Mary Cate Henderson, Charlotte Stamey, Elena Puckett, Nolan Henderson, Oliver and Levi Puckett.
