He was predeceased by: his wife Debbie Smith; and his father Vellie Smith. He is survived by: his mother Rachel Smith Barton of Charlotte; his son Jacob Smith (Trisha) of Charlotte; his stepchildren, Debbie Blayton of Iron Station and Junior Blayton of Dallas, N. C.; his grandchildren, Katelyn, Bailey, Leah, Nikki, Austin and Collin; and his siblings, Alan Smith of Matthews, Steve Smith of Charlotte and Pam Smith of Raleigh. He is also survived by many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
