Betty Hamilton Obituary

Betty Davis Hamilton, 76, passed away peacefully on November 25. Born October 23, 1945 to the late Rose and Parks Davis, Betty spent the last 40 years of her life in Huntersville, NC, where she was a devoted member of Bethel Presbyterian Church.

Betty graduated from Myers Park High School in Charlotte in 1964. As a career travel agent, she traveled the world and made many friends everywhere she went, but always remained a true southerner at heart. She loved all things southern, including sweet tea and her dog Buster. In addition to southern cooking, Betty was known for making wonderful pound cakes.

She is survived by her sisters Debbie Liles, and her husband Danny, in North Carolina, and Donna Cottingham, and her husband John, in Virginia.

A celebration of her life will be held January 14 at 2 pm at Bethel Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Bethel Church, 19920 Bethel Church Road, Cornelius, NC, 28031.
