He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Routh Campbell and Rufus Fredrick Routh; his wife Nancy Kincaid Routh; and his siblings, LuEllen Hooper and Robert "Bobby" Routh.
He is survived by: his children, Ben Dixon Routh, Jr. and Sara Mitchell; and his grandchildren, Ben "Bo" Dixon Routh III and Malloree Rose Mitchell.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Kepner Funeral Home (16901 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078).
