With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Augustus Zebulon High Jr. in Huntersville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 9, 2024 at the age of 97. Though Augustus may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Augustus touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustus (Susie Margaret Griffin High) and A. Z.. He is survived by: his children, Donald High of Southport and Phyllis High Pratt of Atlanta; his grandchildren, Brandon High of Stanley and Emily High Weaver (Jonathan); and his great grandchildren, Ashlynn of Southport, Xander of Southport and Xavier of Southport.
