She was predeceased by: her parents, R. L. Hight and Annie Thompson Hight; and her husband Henry Kenneth Burgess. She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Boyles (Eddie) of Denver, NC and Melessia Baker (Randy) of Kannapolis, NC; her grandson Tyler Boyles (Amanda) of Denver, NC; her great grandchildren, Skylar and Harper; and her caregiver Karen. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society of Charlotte.
