She was predeceased by: her former husbands, James William Benge and Jimmy Elmore; her son Bobby Benge; and her brothers, Raymond, Jack and Jim Anderson.

She is survived by: her children, Larry James Benge of Lenoir, Peggy Greene (Richard) of Hudson and Tammy Warren (Ken) of Hudson; and her siblings, Bill Anderson of Jonesville, NC and Mildred Anderson of Jonesville, NC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: and seventeen great-grandchildren.
