We bid farewell to Sarah Irene Duncan of Hudson, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 22, 2024 at the age of 90. Sarah Irene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wardell Raby and Frona Mitchell Raby; her husband Duncan; her sons, Steve Duncan and Ira Duncan; her siblings, Evelyn Raby and Marshall Raby; her granddaughter Jessica Duncan; and her great grandchild Byerly.
She is survived by: her children, Gene Duncan (Sandy) and Barbara Brakefield (David); her daughters-in-law, Regina Duncan and Joan Duncan; and her siblings, Dewey Raby (Teny), Charlie Raby (Stephanie) and Nellie Hodges (Bob). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews.
