He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sandling and Vida Sandling; and his siblings, Victor Sandling, James Sandling and Joyce Ann Jenkins.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Anne Sandling; his daughters, Kimberly Sandling Scoggins (Bradley) of Oxford, NC and Tammy Sandling Butler of Creedmoor, NC; his grandchildren, Ashleigh Scoggins, Jessica Thomas (Vincent) and Jacob Butler; and his great grandchild Kailyn Thomas.
