He is survived by: his sister Lauretta Bryant (Kenneth) of Lenoir; his children, Amy Buckman (Jon) of High Point and Pete Hatton (Claire Thwaites); his stepchildren, Robbie Heavner (Amy) of Virginia and Michelle Michalec (Jon) of Yadkinville; his grandchildren, Christopher Buckman, Grace Buckman and Rebecca Thwaites; his stepgrandchildren, Justin Heavner, Jessica Dillard, Joshua Michalec and Alexa Michalec; and his close friend Carolyn Borders. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
