He is survived by: his spouse Clariss Barker Childers; his children, Jonathan Piper (Tabby) of Yanceyville, Jonie Shepherd (Jackie) of Holly Hill, S. C., Regina Brown (Greg) of Drexel, Christina Piper of Drexel, Stephanie Grodem (Daniel) of Yanceyville and Teresa Griffin (Lloyd); and his siblings, Bill Childers, Brenda Salmons and Faye Childers. He is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren and eight great--grandchildren.
