She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Hodges and Carrie Hodges (Theide); her husband Ronald; her daughter Elaine; and her siblings, Stanley, James, Donald Hodges, Shirl Stavnaw and Marjorie Vance.

She is survived by: her daughter Kathleen Mitchell (Barry) of Hudson, NC; her grandchildren, Bev Brown of Hickory, NC, Michele Maxson (Adam), Carrie Vann (Anthony), Jennifer Leonhardt and Amelia Swenby (Timothy); and her great grandchildren, Dylan Vann, Amelie Mitchell, Emalena Leonhardt and Marley Maxson.
