He was predeceased by: his son Bradley; his parents, John Henry and Juanita Goforth; and his sister Sheila Goforth Arney. He is survived by: his wife Regina Mullinax Goforth; his children, Jamie Mullinax (Sandra) and Kristen Goforth Harrell; his grandchildren, Ashley Owen, Mackenzie Goforth, Rhianna May (Andrew), Paige Mullinax, Kaleb Brown, Mia Goforth and Malaiyh Harrell; his great grandchildren, Caleb Owen, Jessalynn Owen, Avery Owen and Dawson Michael Brown; his sister Lorna Goforth Taylor (John); his niece Regina Mullinax; and his nephew Robert Mullinax.

Due to Covid restrictions, a celebration of Michael's life will be held at a later date.
