He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Rufus and Bertha Mae Bollinger Haas; his wife Edith Lucille Garnes Haas; and his siblings, Marshall Haas, Thad Haas, Ben Haas, Mildred Hatley, Lois Quinn, Annie Brown and Ruby Yount.
He is survived by: his sons, Wayne M. Haas (Gladys) of Lenoir and Roger L. Haas (Renee) of Hudson; his siblings, Truitt Haas of Hudson, Shirley Haas of Lenoir, Gladys Haas of Charleston, SC and Katherine Kale of Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Stacy Haas, Clinton Haas (Brittany), Travis Haas (Sheena) and Crystal McCall (Kenny). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
