She is survived by: her children, James "Douglas" Laney (Kathy) of Morganton and Laura Laney Gentry (Richard) of Granite Falls; her grandchildren, Sarah Wenzel King (Adam), Rachel Laney, Rebecca Laney, Brittnee Gentry, Sara-Lindsay Gentry of Matthew Laney, C. J and Stacey Gentry; and her great grandchildren, Michael and Luna.
