She was predeceased by: her parents, Bob Hickman and Ann Hickman of Granite Falls; her nephew Chad Brinkley; and her niece Amy Brinkley. She is survived by: her son Brian Bowman; her sister Patty Brinkley; her great-nieces, Addison Brinkley, Sadie Brinkley and Alijah Resendiz; and her cousins, Jamie Brown, JoJo, John Brady, Donald Jones, Tim Jones and Cindy Mario.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Catawba Humane Society at P.O. Box 1991 Lenoir, NC 28645, in honor of her love for animals.
