He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Lee and Edith Edge Story; and his siblings, Linda Story Barnes and Richard Story. He is survived by: his wife Nancy D. Story; and his stepchildren, David C. Shoun (Angela) of Lenoir, Jonathon L. Shoun of Hudson, Judith S. Melton (Kirk) of Hudson and Lisa S. Callaway (Mike) of Lenoir. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
