He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Hice (Kim Grose) of Newton, Michael Hice (Leslie Hodge) of Granite Falls and Megan Brittain (David) of Hickory; his brother Roger Bumgarner (Cynthia) of Hudson; and his grandchildren, Abigail Hice, Grady Hice, Harrison Brittain and Hattie Sue Brittain.
