It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hester Herman (Hudson, North Carolina), who passed away on January 16, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Neil Byrd and Luna Farr Byrd; her husband Boyd Herman; and her brothers, Woodrow Byrd and Harold Byrd.
She is survived by: her sisters, Nellie Koonts of Hammond, LA and Edith McCall (Eugene) of Marshall, NC; her nephews, Benny Koonts of Louisiana and Marvin McCall of Statesville; her niece Gaynell Brigman of Marshall, NC; and her great-nephew Christopher McCall of Statesville.
