She was predeceased by: her husband William Chapman; and her sister Barbara Prestwood (Bob). She is survived by: her children, Marvin "Buddy" Chapman (Kelly), Scottie Bryant (Steve), Betty Dunlap (Gary) and Joy Chapman; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Suddreth (Amber), Eric Bryant (Beth), Brandy Dunlap-Bradshaw (Seth), Misty Seagle (Chris) and Christina Chapman.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 914 Meadowlane Drive, Lenoir, NC 28645.
