He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Woodrow Goforth and Johnsie Duncan Goforth; his sons, Willie Goforth and Joe Young; and his siblings, Jimmy Goforth and Patricia Enloe.
He is survived by: his daughter Sharon Powell; his sisters, LaDonna Chandler (Larry) and Gaynell McCall (David); and his grandchildren, Jordan, Hayden Powell, Gauge Goforth, Amber Goforth, Paige Young and Joey.
