With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Ann Cabaniss Morris of Hudson, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 29, 2024 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Edward Cabaniss and Helen Paysour Cabaniss; her husbands, William Dean Fortenberry and John Roper Morris; and her brothers, Edward Lawson Cabaniss and Larry G. Cabaniss.
She is survived by: her children, William Edward Fortenberry (Debbie) of Valdese, Elizabeth Alison Fortenberry McFall (James) of Maryland and Helen Maria Triplett (Jeff) of Hudson; and her grandchildren, Charles Fortenberry, Holly Holmes, Beth Clark, Scott Dula, Charlie Reinhardt, Bailey Hamby-Hebscher, John Hamby, Trey Triplett and Ashley Hamby. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
