He was predeceased by: his mother Barbara Winkler; and his siblings, Sandy Smith and Rodney Roseman. He is survived by: his wife LaRenda Phillips Helton; his son Dwayne "DJ" Allen Helton Jr.; his siblings, Sherry Craig (Reggie), Kathy Bolch (Joe) and Billy Smith; his nieces, Megan Roseman and Tameca Patterson; his nephew Josh Craig; and his aunt Betty Curlee.
