With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Deane Saunders Sigmon of Hudson, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Deane Saunders left this world on February 16, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Marvin Saunders and Verna Saunders; and her siblings, Lois Tyler, Carolyn Hampton, Elaine Wright, Shelba Harris and Jerry Saunders.
She is survived by: her significant other Rupert Sigmon; her children, Timothy Sigmon (Penny) and Renee Sigmon; her grandchildren, Caleb, Katy Sigmon, Brandon Berry and Brianna Berry; her great grandchildren, Levi and Charlie Sigmon; her grandchild Moon Pies; her siblings, Ava Crouch, Daryl Saunders and Meleah Beaty; and her brother-in-law Rupert. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mount Zion Baptist Church (1787 Cajah Mountain Rd, Hudson, NC 28638). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her honor to Mount Zion Baptist Church located at 1787 Cajah Mountain Rd, Hudson, NC 28638.
