With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dean Clyde Story of Hudson, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 10, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Monroe and Joyce Simmons Story; his son Gary Dean Story; his son-in-law Phillip; and his brother Thomas Story.
He is survived by: his wife Linda "Moma Lou"; his stepson Jeffrey Walker of Winston Salem, NC.; his children, Nicci Story Hawkins and Leigh Anne Story Baker (Jeff); his grandchildren, Michael Dean Story Propst, James Edward Goble (Michelle), Joshua Dean Goble (Misty), Samantha E. Evans, Emily Clontz (Robert) and Michael Hawkins; his siblings, Scottie S. Baker (Alen), Timmy (Kimberly) and Kim (Debra); and his uncle Timmy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Caldwell County Animal Shelter or SECU Family House in Chapel Hill, NC.
