He was predeceased by: his parents, Ransom Samuel and Virgie Mae Hefner Davenport. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Fleming Davenport; his children, Marvin Davenport (Geba) of Granite Falls, Steven Davenport of Hudson, Deana Coffey (Tommy) of Hudson and Kristy Martin (Paul) of Hudson; and his sisters, Violet Cannon of Lenoir and Roxie Stamper of Hayes, VA. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
