It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Lester Pruett of Hudson, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on March 21, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryson Pruett and Bessie Hoyle Pruett; and his siblings, Betty Blankenship, Arlene Pruett, Carl, Clyde and Julius Pruett.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hall Pruett; his children, Jeff Pruett (Stacy) of Wisconsin, Ricky Pruett, Lori Watson (Michael) of Lenoir and Tyra Seagle (Roger) of Morganton; his stepdaughters, Loretta Hamby (Roger) of Hudson and Cindy Pennington (Rick) of Robbinsville; his sister Rosie Simmons of Casar; and his pets, Bella, Sweet Pea and Daisy. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
