Canida of Hubert, North Carolina, born in Everett, Washington, who passed away at the age of 76, on October 7, 2023. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Canida and Gertrude Crabtree Canida; and his brother Samuel Canida. He is survived by: his daughters, Michele Heist (Daniel Heist), Jonna Canida and Kimberly Canida; and his sister Paulette Mitchell (Clyde "Butch" Mitchell). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Rich and I were high school classmates in Keokuk, Iowa, shared birthdays only a couple days apart and were great buddies on the track team.
